Wind gusts up to 80 km/h expected in Waterloo region, Environment Canada says
Expect a windy day in Waterloo region, Guelph and Wellington County.
Environment Canada issued a special weather statement for the region, saying Tuesday will see strong winds from the northwest up to 80 km/h at times.
“Occasional power outages may occur,” the statement noted.
Winds are expected to diminish in the evening.
The forecast also called for a chance of flurries on Tuesday and the temperature to hold steady near 2 C.
Tuesday evening will be mainly cloudy, also with a chance of flurries, and the forecast calls for an overnight low of –3 C.
