Saskatoon police arrest man after rock thrown at cruiser

A Saskatoon man was taken to hospital Monday evening after he was shocked with a Taser by police.

Officers were called to the corner of Idylwyld Drive and 25th Street at about 6 p.m. CST after officers saw the man throwing large rocks at vehicles.

The man also threw one of the stones at a patrol car.

When officers got out of the vehicle, the man pulled out a knife.

They ordered him to drop the knife and when he refused, he was shocked by the Taser.

The man was arrested and eventually taken to hospital.

Police say when he is released, he will possibly be facing weapons-related charges.
