6 suspicious fires this month in Waterloo under investigation

A series of suspicious fires in Waterloo this month are under investigation by police and fire officials.

The Ontario Office of the Fire Marshal is also involved in the investigation.

Police say there are at least six fires under investigation:

  • Oct. 3 at 2:55 a.m. in the area of Erb Street W.
  • Oct. 10 at 12 a.m. in the area of Amos Avenue.
  • Oct. 15 at 12 a.m. in the area of Regina Street.
  • Oct 20 at 9 a.m. on Columbia Street W.
  • Oct. 26 at 6:50 a.m. on Lester Street.
  • Oct. 27 at 2:10 p.m. on Northfield Drive.

“Waterloo regional police would like to remind the public to report any suspicious activity to police immediately,” the service said in a news release.

Exact addresses for the fires were not released by police.
