Two police badges that were stolen from a home in Cambridge on May 5 have been recovered, Waterloo regional police say.
Officers received a call about an alleged theft on Tuesday and an investigation revealed personal property and two Waterloo Regional Police Service badges had been swiped.
The badges had been stored in a safe inside the home and no other police items were stolen, according to police.
Police announced on Friday evening that the badges had been recovered, although they did not say how.
“The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available. Police would like to thank the public for their assistance,” a release from police said.
